Training with Kim gave me the tools to stay in shape and continue my fitness journey on my own. The variations of workouts kept my body guessing and allowed for ongoing progress. Kim really listens to your goals and devises plans that work towards them; however, she also works to help you build a core strength that can take you beyond what you think your body is capable of, once you've reached your goals. I was training towards doing my first sprint triathlon, and Kim helped me get lean and fast with her 30 minute high intensity workouts. I left a lot of sweat on the ground and started seeing results in a matter of weeks. Kim shares her knowledge on nutrition and continuously reminds you of its role in overall fitness, which is an added bonus. Another great option is her group boxing class. It's a fun and exciting workout, where you'll learn the basics and build on skills each week. Kim keeps the energy level of the group up, while ensuring some one-on-one attention "in the ring." Come ready to work, Kim's got the rest covered. - Melinda Fernandes I first met Kim back in 2009 when she was my boxing instructor. She is a knowledgeable, dedicated and professional coach who made classes challenging, yet fun. Not only did her sense of humor, positive attitude and "tough love" approach make her class a sell-out each week, but she designed the program to fit multiple fitness levels, ensuring each individual received the attention, motivation and workout he/she needed. If you seek a personal trainer who will help you reach your fitness goals and even push you beyond what you thought you were capable of, I would highly recommend Kim.. - Heather Miller Thanks to Kim, I have reached a new level of fitness that I did not think I could achieve. I always thought I knew what I was doing but with her support and guidance I was able to push myself to new levels. Besides the training she treats you like you are her best friend and cares about what your goals are inside and outside the gym. If I did not move out of state I would still be training with her today. - Andrew Dorato |
When I think of Carlos, the following words come to mind: highly organized, professional, dependable, and hard working. Carlos has not just helped me meet my health and training goals, but guided me well beyond them. His education in Movement Science has been extremely helpful not just for training purposes, but also to assist me in working through a number of back, shoulder, and knee injuries sustained during my years as a collegiate volleyball player at The Citadel. He has provided me with medical insights far better than those given during physician appointments and during assigned rehabilitation. The result has been that I have been able to continue to play volleyball years after I thought I was no longer physically capable of doing so. In retrospect, had I the influence of a Carlos Sequeira as a coach during my playing years, I suspect I would not have sustained unnecessary overtraining and flexibility injuries over the course of my career. |
