Over the past eight years, I have established an extensive personal training career at The Athletic and Swim Club. During my time at the club, I have worked with athletes, former athletes and non-athletes alike on cardiovascular fitness, stretching, stability, core, strength and endurance training.
In addition, for the past five years I have worked at Hunter College as an Assistant Softball Coach with the primary role of pre-season, in-season and post-season athletic strength and conditioning. I’ve had the opportunity to work under two head coaches and have been an instrumental asset in being competitive within the CUNYAC Division III.
Throughout my professional career, I have maintained an accredited personal training certification from The American Council on Exercise. I have chosen my concentration from the National Strength and Conditioning Association to be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. During this time, I have trained individuals competing in marathons, sprint, Olympic and Ironman Triathlons at all levels from beginner to competitive.
Furthermore, I was a former cross country track runner for Lehman High School in the Bronx and then later at CUNY York College. There, I learned to balance my academic life with the student athletic life.
During my student and professional careers, I have found that even though you may not always be the best, you have to give your best everyday.

During my time as a personal trainer, I have helped countless individuals achieve their fitness goals by encouraging them to believe in themselves, providing them with motivation, creating fitness routines and teaching healthy eating habits that coincide with their lifestyles.
My career started in 2006 when I felt a strong desire to help people change their lives. Every year there is a new fitness craze, pill to promise weight loss or machine claiming to target those specific body parts you want to change. My goal is to always reinforce to my clients and members that changing your life comes with good old hard work and sacrifice. My job is to eliminate all of the conflicting information that’s out there and give that which is needed to accomplish the goal. Everyone is different and should therefore have a personalized fitness plan. I encourage all of my clients to find something in fitness that they enjoy doing in order to increase the likely hood of their long-term success.
My personal favorite types of training are running and boxing. Some of the races I have participated in include the Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile (net time 6:08), Brooklyn Half Marathon (net time 1:44:02) and the Scotland Run (net time 48:55). I fell in love with boxing training back in 2006 and I’ve never looked back. I’ve trained at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn and Mendez Boxing Gym in Manhattan. I take every opportunity I can to learn the craft and teach it to others.
My certifications and formal training include: ACE Health Coach, NASM Personal Trainer, AFAA Group Exercise Instructor, ISCA Boxing Instructor, Annette Lang Stretch Cert., Annette Lang Pre and Post Natal Cert., Small Group Training Cert., Barefoot Training Specialist, Official Zumba Instuctor, American Heart Association AED CPR and Exercise ETC. INC. (certificates in Classic Basic Training Routines, Boot Camp Games for Grownups and Extreme Interval Training).
My goal is to continue to make fitness fun by providing clients with a caring, educated and challenging environment in which thrive.
